I remember one of the first things Jordan said when she reached out to me about photographing their engagement session - "I really want mountain pictures, with snow!" It made me so excited to start planning with her, and we started discussing locations in Rocky Mountain National Park right away! It is, after all, the best place for engagement photos in the mountains with snow.
Something to keep in mind when planning your engagement session in the mountains during the winter:
It can be REALLY windy. Like REALLY, REALLY windy! So plan ahead by bringing hats, scarves and gloves just in case. We can manage the wind for a little bit if you can pop a cute beanie over your wildly blowing hair (o:
We totally lucked out with the weather for Jordan & Dillion's engagement session, and it was sunny with very little wind. Yay!
We met up in Estes Park at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center before heading in to Rocky Mountain National Park. We started our session right away wanting to take advantage of the great weather, and one of the first things I noticed about these two is just how comfortable they are in the mountains. They love to adventure together and do some really fun stuff like camping, four wheeling and mudding in Dillion's truck through rivers!
Jordan's favorite part of their engagement session was getting a piggy back ride in deep snow. We were all laughing as Dillion tried to pick his feet up to walk around with Jordan on his back. He did it so much more gracefully than I possibly could have! I loved that they were up for anything and truly know how to have fun together. They enjoy the little things in life like putting up Christmas lights together, doing yard work, and are looking forward to starting a family someday.
I'm so glad I got to share a little piece of their love story. Congratulations you two!
