Frequently Asked Questions - Answered
How many photos will we receive from our wedding day?
The short answer to this questions is an average of 75-100 photographs per hour of wedding day coverage. Each wedding day is unique, and may result in more or less images.
Do you recommend a second photographer?
Absolutely! There are many moments throughout a wedding day where I find myself wanting to be in two places at once. Think about having multiple perspectives during your ceremony, first look, and couple portraits. Having a second photographer reduces stress for everyone before your ceremony as well, for getting ready photos of the bride & groom at different locations. Having a second photographer will allow me to have more time with the two of you on your wedding day too, since their main jobs are to photograph ceremony & reception details, cocktail hours, and candid photos of your guests throughout the day.
Do you recommend an engagement session?
I believe doing an engagement session is really important for all of us! It will give us a chance to get to know each other better, and give you two a chance to practice being in front of a camera so that when your wedding day rolls around you are completely at ease. I promise that after an engagement session with me you'll feel like a couple of professional models. I will also be the wedding vendor you spend the most time with on your wedding day, so wouldn't it be nice to feel like you have a friend that you know and trust around to help you all day? That's what I do!
Will you help guide us along the way?
One of the things I love most about my job is spending time with awesome couples, and being a part of their journey in a small way. I am happy to recommend vendors, give you tips on when to have your ceremony for the most flattering lighting and what to wear for your engagement session. I'm here to help you make your day the one you always dreamed of.
Do you have back up equipment in case of camera failure?
Of course I do! I use top of the line camera gear to photograph your wedding day that includes three professional cameras, and seven lenses ranging in focal lengths that allow me to create a diverse portfolio for you in all situations that will arise on your wedding day. I also have lighting gear to photograph indoors and in low light situations.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, yes, and yes again. Don't worry. We're covered.
How long does it take after our wedding to receive our photos?
It takes 5-6 weeks for me to cull, organize, and edit your photos. Once they are edited, I will upload them in to your online gallery so you can download them directly at no cost to you. All of your hand touched, fully edited photographs are included in your wedding collection.
Can we order prints, albums, and other products after our wedding?
You sure can. Prints, canvases, and standouts are available to order out of your online gallery. Albums, are uniquely designed for you. You can request a quote for album pricing at any time.
Can we print out our photos anywhere we want to?
You are not obligated to purchase any print products from me, and you will receive a print release form as a part of your wedding collection. I highly recommend ordering professional prints through my print lab if you are going to give them as a gift, or if you are printing above a 4x6 or 5x7 size.
How do we figure out how much time to book you for on our wedding day?
That's easy - We can sit down together and talk about what your expectations are, what you would like to have covered. I can then sketch out a rough timeline for you so that you can see how long all of those parts of the day take to photograph. On average, most couples want about 8 hours of wedding day coverage. Don't sweat it. We've got this.
Why should we hire you to photograph our wedding day?
Having beautiful photos from your wedding day is as important to me as it is to you. I am honored, and delighted that couples hire me to document and curate their wedding story. I LOVE the opportunity to spend time getting to know you and be inspired by your love for each other, your friends, and your family.
